Chang Ming Shen
In the Media
In Eastern philosophy, a grain of sand is considered an entire world. Each world contains countless elements, which in turn combine to form an even larger universe. A grain of sand, seen as the tiniest visible particle, is used as a metaphor for an atom, symbolizing the infinite worlds born from it.

For artists with a rare interest in understanding the chilly, scientific theories of cold, the ability to transform such scientific concepts into creative philosophies is even scarcer. Those who can visually represent this creative philosophy in a flat, two-dimensional form are even fewer. Yet, to be able to channel this into a realm of art that moves life itself and touches the inner spirit is truly the unicorn's horn—a rare and precious feat. Painter Chang Ming Shen, using quantum mechanics as the core philosophy behind his paintings, stands as one of the pioneers of quantum-era art.

Chang Ming Shen paints the universe onto the canvas with vibrant oils, emulating each fundamental quantum element that shapes the appearance of the world.
He approaches painting as a scientific study, embedding the spirit of empirical research into his artwork through the use of quantum elements. By manipulating pigments and fine sand, he creates colors that are both concentrated and distinct, producing a rich and intricate visual texture. Shen's visual presentation is colorful and rich, surpassing the Impressionist approach to light and shadow.

From Eastern and Western philosophy, humanities, and the cosmos' formation and phenomena in science, Chang Ming Shen has created a unique quantum force art theory and belief system that spans the awakening of life and artistic creation.
“To commemorate my departed child, I brushed layer upon layer of heartfelt strokes on the canvas, creating a special texture that helped me better understand the concept of yin and yang and the illusion of reality, opening up a new creative approach for me. The creation process itself is a form of self-reflection; at the same time, I slowly came to understand that in life, there's no need to cling too tightly to many things. Every person is an energy field coming from a shared magnetic domain, and once detached from this physical body, they will eventually return to their original source!”
